Senior IT Support Specialist

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Senior IT Support Specialist who will provide expertise in the support and development of scPharmaceuticals’ IT systems.  The successful candidate will support an outsourced helpdesk, providing Tier 2 level helpdesk support; provide network administrative support; and support new and existing network infrastructure and cloud application services.  Additionally, the successful candidate will maintain IT infrastructure in support of an FDA compliant Quality Management System and in compliance with Sarbanes Oxley and other regulatory agencies, as applicable.  The role reports to the IT Manager.   • Work in conjunction with outsourced Tier-1 helpdesk support to ensure support issues are resolved quickly and with excellent service
  • Provide Tier-2 Helpdesk support, including:
    • Administer Office 365
    • SharePoint Online management
    • Microsoft InTune or Endpoint Manager administration
    • Hardware and software requests
  • Assist in onboarding new employees
  • Maintain, support, and enhance the design of the company SharePoint Online Intranet
  • Manage Microsoft Teams based video conferencing infrastructure and phone systems
  • Assist in the management and implementation of new software applications
  • Maintain IT documentation required for regulatory oversight
  • Manage licenses and software to ensure compliance with requirements
  • Supervise the acquisition, inventorying and disposition of hardware and software for the company


Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years experience as an IT professional with similar experience to the requirements summarized in the key responsibilities section of this job description
  • Preference for IT professionals that have been in a medical device and/or pharmaceutical environment and at least 5 years experience
  • BA or BS in Information Systems, Information Technology, or Computer Science a plus
  • Certifications or training on Microsoft cloud technologies, Azure or Microsoft 365
  • Experience in FDA regulated, and SOX regulated environments preferred
  • Hands on knowledge of IT security technologies and processes
  • Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Active Directory, Azure AD, Microsoft 365 administration, InTune, Endpoint Managment and SharePoint administration
  • Knowledge of enterprise networking technologies including DNS, DHCP, VLAN, WLAN, switches, and routers
  • Experience with some of the following applications is beneficial:
    • SAGE, VEEVA, Master Control
  • Ability to travel domestically when required
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S.
