Technical Operations-Product Development Co-Op (Summer 2024)

At scPharmaceuticals, we are focused on exploring, developing, and commercializing innovations that will expand and advance the outpatient care of acute conditions. Our goal is to provide targeted solutions for patient populations and disease states where outpatient management will have the greatest impact. The Product Development Co-Op is a professional learning experience that offers meaningful, practical work related to intern’s field of study or career interest, providing an opportunity for career exploration and development, and to learn new skills. 
This role reports to the Senior Manager, Formulation and Analytical Development.


  • Assist managers with department objectives and execution of daily tasks
  • Document work in written reports and presentations
  • Deliver work product through established processes, systems, and procedures, ensuring work standards and requirements are met
  • Develop own professional expertise through on the job training and observation
  • Update/maintain  databases, create graphs, and perform statistical analysis in JMP
  • Participate in meetings with vendors
  • Review patents and support formulation development to address experimental gaps through communication with test labs and documentation of results.

Required Expertise Competencies:

  • Working toward a bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or related field
  • All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States
  • All applicants must be a current full-time student
  • Strong Office 365 skills are a must

  • This position is hybrid with a minimum of two days per week in Burlington, MA office, between Tuesday and Thursday. Additional time in the office could be required as circumstances dictate.
