Expense and Accounts Payable Associate

The Expense and Accounts Payable Associate will perform expense report and accounts payable processing in compliance with industry best practices. They will support the expense report and accounts payable processes and procedures and work cross functionally to ensure comprehensive and accurate processing. This position reports to the Accounts Payable Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and process expense reports including review of expenses against Company travel and expense policy.
  • Work with legal to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for health care providers.
  • Be a point of contact to individuals within the organization for expense report issues.
  • Assist in the annual budget process by providing reports to substantiate spend by department.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new expense policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Enter accounts payable invoices in Netsuite, route for appropriate approvals and monitor status of invoices throughout the approval process.
  • Assist in the maintenance of an organized A/P filing system on SharePoint and in Outlook.
  • Monitors suppliers portals to download and process supplier invoices and statements in a timely manner.
  • Support the Accounts Payable Manager in management of the corporate credit card program.
  • Assist in monthly close process and ensure monthly closing tasks completed timely and accurately.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support financial reporting requirements and SOX controls.
  • Prepare correspondence as needed within the department or organization.
  • Perform such other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required from time to time.
  • Provide support, as requested, on ancillary projects.

Required Expertise Competencies:

  • Up to 2 years’ experience with expense processing system (preferably Concur)
  • Up to 2 years’ experience with ERP system (preferably NetSuite)
  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree or in-kind experience

Expectations:

  • This position is hybrid with a minimum of two days per week in Burlington, MA office, between Tuesday and Thursday. Additional time in the office could be required as circumstances dictate.
